The VA Finishing School Affiliate Links

How to earn $$$ before you have your first client

You might not have heard of it, and if you have, you might think it’s a scam, but I‘m here to tell you that it’s not. It’s affiliate marketing! And it’s a great way to earn money in your VA business without having clients.

In this article, I’ll show you step-by-step how you can implement an action plan to start earning $$$ in your VA business.

Affiliate marketing is an inexpensive way to earn money.  The best thing about it is that you don’t need a website or even a blog, although these are both a tremendous help, they’re not essential.

People are using the power of the internet to grow their affiliate marketing network. From social media accounts like Twitter, Facebook & Instagram to blogging and Pinterest

Let’s take a closer look at what affiliate marketing really is:

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission (a percentage of sales revenue) from promoting other businesses products, courses, and services.

1. What do you need to start affiliate marketing?

99% of the time you only need to purchase a product. You can promote that product as much as you’d like, most times earning back your initial spend after just a few sales. Everything after that is pure profit.  Many business owners who sell online products, services or courses offer affiliate links to those who have already purchased their products, just like we do here at The VA Finishing School.

2. Why do businesses do this?

It is an excellent way for business owners to promote their services & gain more exposure online for their brand.

3. Why do people sign up for this?

The affiliate can earn a commission through a product that they have bought & love to use by promoting it to their friends or their audience.

It’s a win/win relationship.

Here is a list of things you need to get started:

  1. Affiliate links for the products and courses that you have bought.

You should only promote products, services, and courses that you have actually purchased and would recommend even if you were not earning a commision. This way you know that people you promote to will find it as useful as you do. And if someone asks you a question about it, you need to be able to provide helpful answers.

2. Social media channel and or blog

Tip:  You don’t have to have a blog, but it does help.  Use your Facebook Page & Facebook Groups or even LinkedIn to promote your affiliate products. You can also use Instagram or Pinterest.

Blog: If you have a blog, you can write up a post and go into a bit of detail on how the product or course you are promoting solved a specific problem for you. Without being “salesy” in your blog, be sure to include your affiliate link, so that way when people find your content useful & share it with their friends, pin it to Pinterest or click on the link to buy your link is used. As soon as someone makes a purchase using your link, you earn money.

Social media: Have you heard of micro-blogging? This is writing a condensed blog post on a social media platform like Facebook, LinkedIn or Instagram. If you don’t have a blog, this technique is a great way to promote your affiliate links.

  1.  Email list

Tip: If you don’t have an email list yet. Signup for a free MailChimp account and then send an email to your friends & family telling them that you are adding them to your mailing list and include the link to your MailChimp Landing page. Ask your friends & family to circulate that email to their friends and family.

It’s important to remember to include a short disclaimer that states the links are affiliate links.
